Michelle Gouws on 31 January, 2010 at 4:00 pm #Hi Guys,
I am so happy writing this message. We found Rachel!!! She walked into a friend of ours’ yard and she immediately knew that this is the dog that has had everybody searching like crazy. Thank you so much for all your help and caring. Rachel is ok, she looks a bit thin but we gave her a good meal and her tail is up and wagging again. Again I would like to say thank you to everybody who helped to look for her. We are eternally grateful. Pierre, Michelle and kids
Thanks to everyone who helped in any way – from looking for her, to forwarding emails and circulating her picture! THANK YOU!!

Hi everyone!
Kerry and I are EXTREMELY happy to announce that Bailey is HOME safe and sound!!!!!! YAH!!!!!!!
She was found by Bernie and Sheila, a lovely couple in Mayfield Park (roughly near SouthGate shopping mall south of JHB city centre!!!) (have a look for Mayfield park on http://maps.google.co.za/ to get an idea!). I have no idea how Bailey got so far south, but she is definitely a tough little cookie and survivor! Bernie and Sheila were great, they rescued Bailey from between their fence and a neighbouring golf course fence, dipped her for ticks and even fed her garlic polony to ward off Biliary! Bailey even made friends with their two little sausage dogs! She has a few cuts and scratches and is quite skinny, but nothing serious and nothing loads of treats can’t fix! Bailey couldn’t have landed with a better couple! A HUGE thank you to Bernie and Sheila!!!! And thank you to all of you that helped us!!! Kerry and I were truly blown away by everyone’s support, we can’t even begin to express our gratitude!
Please forward this to all your friends to which you forwarded our original “lost dog” email to and all those who helped.
Have a GREAT weekend!!!!!!!
Tail-wagging regards from
James and Kerry and Spencer and Bailey !
EDIT: WED 11 NOV:
Hi Guys –
Bailey the female beagle from Sunninghill is still missing… I got an update from her dad today – she was spotted near a park in Sunninghill yesterday… so she is still in the area – PLEASE KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN in the area, and look out for her… she must be missing her mom and dad and beagle brother even more than they are all missing her!
If you are in the area – please put James and Kerry’s numbers into your cell phone in case you spot Bailey.
Below is a picture of her…
Here’s the message from her dad, James:
“I thought I would give you an update on our lost beagle, Bailey.
We still haven’t found her, but we have been handing out flyers to all the houses in our Sunninghill area. Bailey was apparently spotted yesterday at 14:00 on Edison Crescent in Sunninghill (it is the road next to the park we last saw her in on Friday 30-10-2009). I really thought someone would have picked her up by now, but it seems she is still wondering around, but at least she is sticking to the same familiar area. Please keep holding thumbs!
Thanks,

Keep your eyes and ears open for this female Beagle, BAILEY …
Our little beagle, Bailey, went missing on Friday 30 Oct in the Sunninghill area. The garden service left our gate open. We stay in the Baldersani complex near the Sunninghill hospital. She was last spotted on Nanyuki Rd (Bowling Rd North of the N1) in Sunninghill on Saturday morning. She has been chipped and the vets and SPCA are informed. All details are in the attached poster. We have looked (and are still looking) in all the local parks which we regularly take our two babies for walks (we have another beagle, Spencer, pls see his attached pic). We have put up posters in the area, have informed the local security company who patrol the neighbourhood, asked runners and pet owners, listed her on lostdogs.co.za and petslostandfound.co.za, and have even phoned into 5FM!
Please, if possible, could you assist me by placing an add on your forum or sending out a notice to your contacts.
Thank you, much appreciated

Hi Beagle Lovers…
I just got this email from a lady who has lost her beagle
… please pass this onto anyone in the Radiokop area, and keep your eyes out for him!
—
My male Beagle – Tigger decided to take a walk yesterday afternoon in the Radiokop area unbeknown to us until much later and despite being microchipped we have been unable to find him. He has a white face with black, beige and white markings on his back and tail.
Recently when I took a stray Husky to our local vet as he was lost they advised me that they had contacted the Husky association – hence my email to you. Should anyone share this line of thinking and perhaps contact you advising that they may have found him – would you EMAIL ME – my name is Heather Coetzer.
24 March
We have found a pair of Beagles – in show condition – a male and a female – in the Alwynspoort area.
If you are their doting owners or know of someone that has lost these two -
please email us and we’ll put you in touch with the people who are caring for them.
